D-Link Upgrades Gamers to Gigabit and Powers Broadband Connections for Xcelerator Gaming's X8 LAN Party!
D-Link comes onboard in a huge way at Xcelerator! Xcelerator Gaming will be able to offer some of the fastest Gigabit Adapters on the planet as prizes at X8! By offering gamers the ability to upgrade to full gigabit network capabilities on the spot at X8 gamers will have the upper hand with no lag speeds, and as anyone who has a gigabit card installed in there machine will tell you "Once you go full throttle there is no going back".
The D-Link Gigabit PCI Adapters will be offered as prizes in the Xcelerator Tournaments so get ready to rock n roll because things are really starting to get interesting. In addition to offering D-Link NICs as prizes Xcelerator Gaming will be offering Internet Access to authenticate STEAM players.
Xcelerator Internet access will be fueled by D-Link's most powerful cable modems (DCM-202) and award winning wireless routers (DI-624). It will indeed be a Happy Holiday at Xcelerator!
The Xcelerator Games - CORE will take place in Leesburg, VA on Friday, December 10th to Sunday, December 12th. So far the Xcelerator Games have drawn gamers from New York to Atlanta and as far away as Florida. Event registration includes the following categories: |

Competitor ($30-Counter Strike/$5-all other official tournaments) - Competitor registrants can participate in one of the official tournaments. |

BYOC (FREE!) - BYOC registrants bring their computers to the event. |

Spectator (FREE!) - Spectator registrants have access to the spectator area. |

Media Passes (FREE!) - Members of the media and press can request free access to the event by making requests to the media contact before the event. |
Gamers have been registering online for weeks at record levels to reserve space. Over 160 people have registered for this exciting Bring Your Own Computer (BYOC) gaming event. BYOC registrants bring computers, monitors and peripherals to the event and connect via Ethernet, to a switched 10/100 Local Area Network (LAN). The Xcelerator Games provide a variety of gaming servers which attendees can use to play, practice and informally compete with each other.
A projected purse of over $1,500 in cash prizes for tournament play will be offered as follows:
